Welcome to my KNIERIM web site.  There is a wealth of information in these pages.  If you are doing research on the Knierim name you should be able to find helpful information at this location.

I would really appreciate any comment you would care to leave in my Guest Book.  Your comments will appear in this location.  If you just want to say Hi that is fine also.  Just let me know you were here.  If you have suggestions or comments for improvements I would like to here them also.

I teach College and have been really busy the last six months and am sorry I have gotten behind on maintaining this web site and promise to do better in the future.  Everybody who has written to me in the last few months be patient I will answer every one as quickly as possible.

Your Knierim web site is wonderful!! It has so many great informational pages. It is a well planned site!! My family has history with the Knierim's in the German Valley Church in Deepwater, MO. I knew Iva Knierim very well and miss her. I would love to help you with information from this German Valley (Valley Center) area since I grew up here and have access to folks that knew some of your ancestors. Again, great job!!!

I am 62 and hale from West Virginia. I have what I think is a pretty good link to my genealogy back to 1611. My Father, Albert Carl Knierim, had 5 brothers and 2 sisters (all from Wheeling, West Virginia). Anyone out their who might be related please contact me. I've enjoyed every word on this web site. My Knierim family is from PA. MY great-grandparents were George & Anna and they had 8 children Carrie, Martha, Mary, Sabina, Rose, Adam, Conrad, Henry. If anyone has any info. please let me know. My grandmother was Sabina she and her sisters Mary and Rose died in 1919. My father was only 1 1/2 yrs old when she died. I really want to know this part of my family.

My grandmother's maiden name was Anna Sophie Elise Knierim. Her family were of huguenot background and came from Leckringhausen in Hessen Germany. I also have Knierim relatives in So. Africa. I would like to hear from anyone who may possibly know about this Knierim line. Thank you.

This is a correction to my last e-mail entry. Please note: My grandmother's full name was Anna Helene Elise Sophie Knierim. She was the daughter of Carl and Sophie Knierim. She was born August 4, 1874 in Kassel, Germany - died, October 26, 1934 in Kassel Her ancestry is huguenot background. There are additional relatives in Leckringhausen, Germany.& Wolfhagen Germany, in Hessen. She had 2 sisters (Else and Dorothea), and a brother who moved to South Africa by the name of Carl. If anyone has any information on this Knierim family I would greatly appreciate hearing. Thank you, Eleanor.

My great-grandmother was Katrina Knierim and her husband was Johannes Pfeil. My grandmother, Anna Martha Helene Pfeil, was born in 1894 in Obergude, Kreis Rotenburg, Hessen, Germany and emmigrated to the USA, Minnesota in 1922. I would be interested in hearing from other Knierim families from that area of Germany.

My grandfather was (Albert) Eugene Knierim. Born in Ohio, I don't know when. Died in 1994, I think. Father of 4 children. Survived by his wife, Alberta Willoyt (spelling?), from Kentucky.
